97. Air Astana Launches Flights to Kiev; Increases Russia Services
Kazakhstans Air Astana has launched flights from Almaty and Astana to Kiev, capital of Ukraine. The Almaty to Kiev service is being operated three times a week (Tuesday/Friday/Sunday), with the flight by Airbus A320 taking five hours. The Astana to Kiev service is also being operated three times a week (Monday/Wednesday/Saturday), with the flight by Embraer E190 taking four hours.

103. Transaero Airlines Firms Up Order for Four A380s
With the order, Transaero becomes the first customer for the A380 in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe. The Russian carrier plans to start operations with the A380 on its long-range network of high density routes from Moscow. The aircraft will feature a three class cabin layout, seating about 700 passengers.
104. UTair Takes Delivery of First ATR 72-500
The Russian air carrier, UTair, has taken delivery of its first ATR 72-500 aircraft, which is also the first one of this type to be operating in Russia. UTair recently ordered 20 ATR aircraft, estimated at US $ 426 million. The remaining ATR 72-500 aircraft will be delivered in 2011 and 2012.
