The new route is part of a ANA's strategy to increase its presence in Russia by offering service to additional cities across the country.

Korean Airs first-ever A380 will begin its inaugural services between Seoul/Incheon and both Tokyo and Hong Kong from 17 June 2011. The inaugural A380 commercial flight will take off from Incheon International Airport in Seoul, Korea at 09:10am on 17 June, arriving in Narita International Airport in Tokyo, Japan at 11:30 am on the same day.
