97. Avation Plc Takes Delivery of its First ATR 72-600 in Asia Pacific
The first ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft destined for the Asia Pacific region was delivered to the leasing company Avation Plc, as part of an agreement with Australian regional carrier Skywest Airlines and Virgin Australia. The aircraft was received by Avation’s Chief Operating Officer, Rod Mahoney, at ATR’s manufacturing facility in Toulouse, France.

Air Canada has completed sale and leaseback transactions for three Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with Jackson Square Aviation and six Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with Avolon Aerospace Leasing Limited for total proceeds of US$365 million (C$485 million) and long-term lease commitments of US$345 million (C$458 million).
