131. Air New Zealand to Operate Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner Year-Round to Adelaide
Air New Zealand has confirmed that it will operate Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on the Auckland - Adelaide route year-round. The aircraft will increase capacity on the route by more than 30% over the Northern Summer season and comes just weeks after the airline’s inaugural Dreamliner service to Adelaide on 26 October.

Starting next summer, American Airlines is to increase flights to Canada, adding a service from its hub at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Calgary International Airport (YYC) and Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Daily service to Vancouver is scheduled to begin 4 May 2018, while the Calgary service is set to take off on 7 June 2018.
133. Narita Airport Orders 20 CTX 9800 DSi Explosives Detection Systems
Narita International Airport Corporation in Japan has ordered 20 high-speed CTX 9800 DSi explosives detection systems (EDS) for hold-baggage screening. Scheduled for deployment between 2019 and 2022, the new 20 CTX 9800 units will replace more than 27 legacy CTX systems and will allow Narita to screen hold baggage faster, more efficiently and with a reduced footprint.
134. Executive Appointments at Khiri Travel in Laos, Myanmar and Thailand
Khiri Travel has made the following internal management changes to its operations in Thailand, Myanmar and Laos: Melissa Tan will become General Manager of Khiri Travel Myanmar. Tan joined Khiri in April 2017 as Commercial Manager for Myanmar. In her new role, she will take care of day-to-day management from the Khiri Travel office in Yangon.
135. Air Canada to Launch Daily Flights Between Edmonton and San Francisco
Air Canada has unveiled plans to launch a daily non-stop, year-round service between Edmonton and San Francisco on 1 May 2018. Flights will be operated with Bombardier CRJ-705/900 jets offering a choice of 12 Business Class seats and 64 Economy Class seats, wi-fi, and Air Canada's in-flight entertainment on personal touch-screens at every seat.
