10. Record Cargo Numbers for Etihad Airways in March 2012
Etihad Airways carried a record 31,700 tonnes of cargo in March 2012, an increase of 20% on the previous year. Total revenues for the month were up 14% on February and 19% on the corresponding period the previous year. In February, Etihad Airways carried 27,900 tonnes of freight.
11. Double-Digit Growth in Passenger Traffic for Airports in Asia Pacific
According to the latest ACI Passenger and Freight Flash Reports, passenger traffic in the Asia Pacific region continued to show strong and steady growth in March 2012. A year-on-year increase of 10.8% was recorded for airports in the Asia Pacific area whereas airports in the Middle Eastern showed an even more remarkable increase of 16.4% when compared to March 2011.

Tune Hotels has signed an agreement with developer Liew Yin Yin Group for the establishment of the Tune Hotel Ipoh. The new hotel will be part of The Host commercial development on a site belonging to the Ipoh City Council. Located within the vicinity of the city centre, Tune Hotel Ipoh is currently 60% completed and is on track for the March 2012 opening.

15. Cathay Pacific Reports March 2012 Traffic
Cathay Pacific and Dragonair carried a total of 2,388,887 passengers in March – up 10.6% on the same month in 2011 – while the passenger load factor rose by 2.5 percentage points to 79.4%. Capacity for the month, measured in available seat kilometres (ASKs), was up by 8.2%. For the first quarter of this year, passenger numbers have risen by 9.0% compared to a capacity climb of 8.6%
