43. Air China to Upgrade Aircraft on Beijing-Frankfurt Route
Starting 22 November 2012, Air China will use a Boeing 777-300ER on its Beijing-Frankfurt service, a route that the airline currently operate twice daily. In July of 2011, Air China used its first delivered B777-300ER on its CA931/2 service Beijing-Frankfurt. Today, the airliner on the CA965/6 service Beijing-Frankfurt has also been upgraded to B777-300ER.
44. OMD Wins Tourism Australia Account
Tourism Australia has appointed OMD for its global media services account. The contract covers media planning and buying; search marketing and optimisation services; and social media marketing. The new arrangements will start on 1 July 2011 and run for three years, with an option to extend the contract for two further 12 month periods.
45. Cathay Pacific to Increase Flights / Capacity to Select Destinations
Cathay Pacific to Increase Services to Milan, Paris, Jakarta, Surabaya, Bangkok and Delhi. Cathay Pacific is planning, subject to government approval, to increase the frequency of its Milan service from four flights a week to daily from 1 July 2011. The airline is also increasing capacity on a number of other routes including Paris, Jakarta, Surabaya, Bangkok and Delhi.
46. Hawaiian Airlines Launches Honolulu-Fukuoka Flights
Hawaiian Airlines has launched daily nonstop flights between Honolulu and Fukuoka, Japan. Fukuoka is the third destination in Japan and fourth in Asia that Hawaiian has launched in the past 17 months, following Tokyo (November 2010), Seoul (January 2011), and Osaka (July 2011).
47. Ethiopian Airlines to Launch Flights to Milan, Italy
Ethiopian Airlines is to launch flights to Milan, Italy, in July 2011. The airline will operate with five weekly services on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
