161. Garuda to Launch Flights to U.S. via Japan in 2017
Garuda Indonesia has unveiled plans to recommence flights to the United States from next year. Garuda believes that flights between Indonesia and the US have the potential to attract up to 400,000 passengers every year. The airline is looking at Los Angeles and New York, as the two cities with the highest potential market.

Honeywell has been selected by Turkish Airlines to provide its Fuel Efficiency software to reduce fuel use and associated costs. The software solution, part of Honeywell's GoDirect suite of connected aircraft services, provides the airline with instant analytics and recommendations on an aircraft's current fuel consumption and ways to save fuel.
166. Lockheed Martin and CoGen to Build Energy from Waste Plant in Wales
Lockheed Martin has signed a teaming agreement with CoGen to develop energy-from-waste projects in the United Kingdom, starting with a new plant in Cardiff, Wales. The Cardiff facility will convert waste into up to 15 megawatts (MW) of energy, enough to power about 15,000 homes and businesses in the local area.
167. SAS to Expand Network
When the 2017 summer program starts, SAS will open six new all-year routes from Scandinavia. The airline also plans to increase flights to Spain, Portugal and Croatia, adding over 330,000 seats in its summer program. Altogether, SAS is opening 15 new routes in its summer program.
