VIRGIN ATLANTIC AND SINGAPORE AIRLINES OFFER
EURO SELECT BUSINESS FARES TO UK / EUROPE

 

Virgin Atlantic Airways and Singapore Airlines have extended their popular Euro Select programme to offer a year-round business class fare of $7729 per person between Australia and UK-Europe.

The 2002 Euro Select programme, which combines the route networks of both carriers, is valid for travel in Virgin Atlantic's Upper Class and Singapore Airlines Raffles Class between 1 April 2002 and 31 March 2003.

The $7729 fare applies from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, with all departures on Singapore Airlines flights to Singapore.

From there, Singapore Airlines continues to Hong Kong, Delhi, Tokyo, Shanghai, Johannesburg and Capetown, where passengers transfer to nonstop Virgin Atlantic Airways services to London. Return journeys can also combine the carriers.

"The Euro Select fares give travellers the opportunity to visit Europe, via a wide range of intermediate locations, and flying with two of the most innovative carriers in the air," said Gia Acitelli, Virgin Atlantic's Sales Manager Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia.

"As well as a large selection of destinations and combinations at affordable prices, Virgin Atlantic and Singapore Airlines offer in-flight facilities including personal video and telephone for every passenger and plans to progressively introduce in-flight e-mail and internet services for all passengers.

"Virgin Atlantic also offers a bar and lounge for passengers in its award winning Upper Class cabin on long haul flights, and even offers a beauty therapy service in which passengers can relax with a massage from a professional masseur."

Passengers using the Euro Select fare can nominate two stopover points in each direction.

Following are just a few examples of Euro Select itineraries:

ADELAIDE - Singapore - Hong Kong with Singapore Airlines, then Hong Kong - London - Delhi with Virgin Atlantic, before returning Delhi - Singapore - Adelaide with Singapore Airlines.

BRISBANE - Singapore - Amsterdam with Singapore Airlines, own arrangements to London, then London to Shanghai on Virgin Atlantic, and Shanghai - Singapore - Brisbane with Singapore Airlines.

MELBOURNE - Singapore - Johannesburg with Singapore Airlines, surface sector to Cape Town, then Cape Town - London with Virgin Atlantic, and London - Singapore - Melbourne with Singapore Airlines.

PERTH - Singapore - Frankfurt with Singapore Airlines, own arrangements to London, then London - Tokyo on Virgin Atlantic and Tokyo - Singapore - Perth on Singapore Airlines.

SYDNEY - Singapore - Shanghai with Singapore Airlines, then Shanghai - London with Virgin Atlantic,  London to Hong Kong with Virgin Atlantic and Hong Kong - Singapore - Sydney with Singapore Airlines.
