The Airbus A350 XWB programme has achieved an important milestone with the European Aviation Safety Agency’s (EASA) award of the Engine Type Certification of the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB turbofan. 8. Rolls-Royce Singapore Unveils Scoot's First Trent 1000 Engine
Rolls-Royce this week celebrated a milestone at the company's Seletar Campus with the unveiling of a Trent 1000 engine, the first to be made in Singapore for Singapore's very own long-haul budget carrier, Scoot. The Trent 1000, which is fully assembled and tested by a team of 80, will provide power to Scoot's new fleet of 20 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
