50. Scoot to Expand Fleet with 16 Airbus A321neo Aircraft
Scoot confirmed on Monday that it will add 16 brand-new Airbus A321neo aircraft to its fleet. Of the 16 aircraft, six are an upsize from Scoot’s current A320neo order from Airbus, while 10 will be leased. The first aircraft, named “Wings of Change”, will be delivered in the last quarter of 2020 and will be used on medium-haul routes within six hours of Singapore.

Iberia has expanded its wings to Asia for the first time, launching thrice weekly flights to China. The airline, a member of oneworld, has launched flights between Madrid and Shanghai. The flights will operate from Madrid every Tuesday, Friday and Monday, while flights to Madrid from Shanghai will take off every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

Components for the 50th Airbus A320 Family aircraft to be built in the United States are now on their way to Mobile, Alabama. A ship carrying large components for the single-aisle jetliner – including the front and aft fuselage sections, wings, vertical tail and horizontal tail – departed Hamburg, Germany on 25 August, beginning a 29-day transatlantic voyage to the U.S. Gulf Coast.

54. Air Tanzania to Expand Fleet with Two CS300 and One Q400 Aircraft
The United Republic of Tanzania, represented by the Tanzanian Government Flight Agency (TGFA), has signed firm purchase agreements for two CS300 jetliners and one Q400 turboprop aircraft. The aircraft will be leased to and operated by Air Tanzania (The Wings of the Kilimanjaro) based in Dar es Salaam.
