International tourist arrivals grew by 3.9% to reach a total of 1,235 million, according to the latest UNWTO World Tourism Barometer. Africa Records Increase in Visitor Arrivals for Q1 2009. According to the June 2009 edition of the UNWTO World Tourism Barometer, international tourism declined by 8% between January and April compared to the same period last year.
