The newly constructed 111-room Wyndham Garden San Jos Escaz in Costa Rica, has opened for business. Air Canada has unveiled major expansion plans for its international services. The carrier is launching a new non-stop route between Toronto and Seoul, starting a service to Istanbul subject to government approval, adding seven weekly departures to Beijing from Toronto and Vancouver, and upgrading its Calgary-Tokyo Narita route to provide daily service.

According to the latest ITB World Travel Trends Report, this year the number of outbound trips from Asia rose by 7%, due in part to rising wages.
