89. NAC Signs LOI for up to 105 ATR -600s
NAC, a regional aircraft leasing specialist, has signed a Letter of Intent for 35 firm ATR -600s, with options for a further 35 and purchase rights for another 35. Deliveries of the initial 35 aircraft will begin in 2020 and run up to 2025.

SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC), in collaboration with Airbus Services, recently completed the first of 14 A380 full-cabin retrofits for Singapore Airlines (SIA). The extensive retrofit programme, which was announced in November 2017, sees the cabin products selected for SIA’s five recently delivered A380 aircraft installed on the airline’s in-service aircraft.

Taiwan’s China Airlines (CAL) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Airbus for 11 A321neo aircraft and will acquire another 14 aircraft of the type on lease.

Qantas is backing Airbus’ new extended range A321XLR with an agreement covering 36 aircraft. The deal includes the conversion of 26 existing A320neo Family orders plus a new firm order for 10 A321XLRs.

Indigo Partners has signed a MOU with Airbus for 50 of the new A321XLR aircraft. Twenty of the A321XLRs will be allocated to Wizz Air, 18 to Frontier, and 12 to JetSMART.
95. IAG Orders 14 Airbus A321XLR Aircraft
International Airlines Group (IAG) has selected the A321XLR to expand its fleet of single aisle planes, with a firm order for 14 aircraft. Of these, eight are destined for Iberia and six for Aer Lingus.

Korean Air has signed a Cooperation and Research Agreement with Airbus to partake in the Wing of Tomorrow Program. The Airbus Wing of Tomorrow program is a major international research and development activity aimed at creating new structural and systems architectures for carbon wings in order to improve aerodynamics and overall eco-efficiency of Airbus aircraft.
