225. Jetstar Orders V2500 Engines for 32 Aircraft
Jetstar Airways, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Qantas Group, has selected IAE’s V2500 engine to power a further 32 Airbus A320 family aircraft. This is the third time that the airline has selected International Aero Engines as its engine provider since an initial order in 2004.

China Aircraft Leasing Company (CALC), a rapidly growing Hong Kong-based aircraft leasing company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the Farnborough International Airshow for 36 current generation A320 Family aircraft. The deal includes eight A321s, the largest member of the A320 Family and operators will be able to select Airbus’ new fuel saving Sharklets.

232. Airbus to Offer Longer Range A330 with Increased Payload
Airbus has decided to offer a further enhanced version of the popular A330 airliner by increasing the maximum takeoff weight capability to 240 metric tonnes. The 240 tonne capability will be first applied to the larger A330-300 model and subsequently to the A330-200 and A330-200F.
