9. SAS to Launch Smart Pass in Scandinavia
SAS will roll out a Smart Pass across Scandinavia this fall. The SAS Smart Pass was trialed earlier this year amongst selected members of its frequent flyer program EuroBonus in three Scandinavian cities.
10. TAAG Takes Delivery of Boeing 777-300ER
TAAG Linhas Aereas de Angola (Angola Airlines) has taken delivery of its first Boeing 777-300ER. The delivery is the first of two airplanes ordered by TAAG in October 2009. TAAG will use the airplanes for route expansion to destinations including direct routes to Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Lisbon and Oporto.
11. Qantas Adjusts Capacity, Capital Expenditure
The Qantas Group has unveiled an adjustment in planned domestic capacity growth and a corresponding reduction in capital expenditure for the next two years. In response to slower overall growth rates in the domestic market, the Qantas Group is now targeting 5.5% domestic capacity growth for 2011/12 compared with the 8% planned previously.

Worldhotels has signed a co-operation agreement with TravelSky, a leading provider of information technology solutions for China's booming air travel and tourism industry. The agreement significantly opens Chinas e-travel market to Worldhotels collection of more than 450 hotels.
13. Wyndham Signs Ramada Hotel in Phuket
Wyndham has signed a new Ramada hotel in Phuket, Thailand. The Ramada Phuket South Sea, owned by Phuket development company South Sea Resort, will add to the five Ramada hotels currently open in Thailand and is the second agreement to be signed between South Sea Resort and Wyndham Hotel Group.
14. Hapag-Lloyd Extends OnAirs Mobile Phone Service to More Ships
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is adding OnAirs mobile phone services, already deployed on MS Europa, to its two Expedition ships, MS Hanseatic and MS Bremen. OnAirs satellite service allows passengers to use their own mobile devices just as they do on dry land, for calls, text messages, email and mobile data.
15. Hotel in Okinawa to Become a Ritz-Carlton
Ritz-Carlton and Kanehide, a prominent conglomerate in Okinawa, Japan, have signed an agreement for the development of The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa. The resort hotel will offer 97 guest rooms with views over a golf course down to the East China Sea, the Motobu Peninsula and beyond to Ie Island.
16. Emirates to Launch Passenger Flights to Baghdad
Emirates is to launch passenger flights to Baghdad from 13 November 2011. Operating four times per week Baghdad will be Emirates fifth international destination to launch in 2011 with Basra and Geneva already operational, and Copenhagen and St Petersburg to follow on 1 August and 1 November 2011 respectively.
