33. Nok Air Becomes Launch Customer of New 86-Seat Q400 Aircraft
Nok Air, a low-cost Thai airline, has signed a firm order with Bombardier for two Q400 NextGen turboprop airliners with options for an additional two and purchase rights on four others. Nok Air will also be the launch customer for a new extra capacity seating option, which will allow the Q400 NextGen aircraft to accommodate up to 86 passengers.

Taiwan's TransAsia Airways has taken delivery of its first new ATR 72-600. The plane is the first of 12 ATR 72-600s ordered by TransAsia Airways as part of its fleet renewal and growth program. It took just the first two days of the Singapore Airshow, for the European turboprop manufacturer ATR to boost its order book by 48 aircraft, including 28 firm orders. Valued at nearly US$1.2 billion, the contracts continue the success seen in 2013, a year which ATR ended with a total of 195 aircraft sold (89 firm orders and 106 options).
