TOUR OPERATORS FROM MALAYSIA, KENYA, SOUTH AFRICA, AUSTRALIA & INDIA SHOW KEEN INTEREST IN DSS PACKAGE

Leading tour operators interacting with officials on the Dubai stand at the ongoing Arabian Travel Market have confirmed an avid interest in promoting the ‘Dubai For Free’ package organized by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) for the forthcoming Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) that takes place between June 20th and August 31st.

“There have been a number of serious inquiries from diverse markets including Malaysia, Kenya, South Africa, Australia and India,” said DTCM Manager Heritage Sites and Events, Awadh Al Seghayer, who is also a member of the DSS organizing committee.

Mr. Al Seghayer noted that BMC Travel, Holiday Tours, Sun Tours and Trans-World Travel (from Malaysia); Top Holidays & Travel and Protrav Tours (from South Africa); African Quest (from Kenya), Xpress Holidays (from India); Touchdown Tours, Keith Prowse Sport & Entertainment Travel and Circuit Travel Pty. Ltd (from Australia) displayed a keen interest in the summer package.

The ‘Dubai For Free’ package involves special rates and deals this summer in conjunction with 61 participating hotels and 13 hotel apartments in Dubai who offer net rates inclusive of service charge varying between $27 (AED100) and $136 (AED 500) per room night for hotels and between $27(AED 100) & $204 (AED750) per room night for hotel apartments with special add on bonuses.

The participating hotels will also offer one night free for every three nights booked and the hotel apartments will offer one night free for every six nights booked.

“The incentive for the travel trade is that only guests booking through travel agencies will be able to avail of these offers and not walk in customers,” remarked Mr. Al Seghayer.

The additional benefits of this promotion are that the rates remain unchanged for single or double occupancy and two children below the age of 12 can stay free with their parents.

Add on bonuses offered by participating outlets include fruit baskets, welcome drink on arrival, daily bus service to the beach, airport transfers, breakfast, free use of health club, free access to nightclub, transfers to DSS activity sites, toys for children below six years on departure, late checkout, 20% discount on food and beverages, 50% discount on spa & beauty treatments, free unlimited access to water theme park and a chance to participate in a weekly raffle for a trip to Disney Paris among others.
