INTER-CONTINENTAL LAUNCHES ‘WHOLE WORLD HALF PRICE’ SUMMER PROMOTION AT ARABIAN TRAVEL MARKET

This summer, holidaymakers are being given the chance to stay at some of the world’s most acclaimed five star hotels – from Bora Bora in French Polynesia to Yokohama in Japan – at savings of 50 per cent or more.

On the opening day of Arabian Travel Market in Dubai today, Inter-Continental launched its new global summer promotion, called ‘Whole World Half Price’, offering holidaymakers the chance to stay at more than 140 hotels, in over 70 countries, for half the normal price.

The ‘Whole World Half Price’ promotion is available seven days a week from June 14 until September 8, 2002 inclusive, but summer travellers can book immediately to reserve rooms at the most popular Inter-Continental hotels and resorts.

Among the spectacular range of participating hotels offering superb summer holiday value are the Hotel Inter-Continental Sydney and the five star Bali Inter-Continental Resort.

Choices in the Middle East and Africa region include the Hurghada Inter-Continental Resort in Egypt and the Hotel Inter-Continental Nairobi.

Classic city break destinations are also included in Inter-Continental’s summer promotion with hotels in New York, Paris, London and Hong Kong.

Denis Johnson, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Middle East and Africa, said: “This is the best deal we’ve launched yet. We’re introducing the ‘Whole World Half Price’ initiative as a means of stimulating bookings for our hotels, as well as giving guests a true incentive to travel.”

“The savings are available seven days a week and allow guests to combine a fabulous room with full breakfast for two and enjoy it for half the price. We’re supporting the promotion with a global advertising and direct marketing campaign which will run in the US, UK, Germany, Italy, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and key Asia Pacific cities”.

Inter-Continental Hotels and Resorts has been the preferred choice of the world's business and leisure traveller since 1946. From the many historic landmark hotels that are as much a part of a city's present as its glorious past - to the striking contemporary hotels, that reflect the vibrant cultures they represent - to superb resorts that are both a tribute and an attribute to the natural beauty surrounding them - Inter-Continental offers exceptional comfort, convenience and service throughout the world.
