The Fairmont Dubai introduces its President Club and new Spa

With the opening of The Fairmont Dubai, the deluxe hotel group is introducing its Fairmont President's Club to the Middle East region for the first time.

A loyalty programme for frequent guests at all Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, the scheme emphasises the company's commitment to offer superior, personalised guest service, similar to the treatment the company's president would receive when staying at one of its hotels.

The following levels of membership are offered: Club, Gold and Platinum, based upon the number of stays per year and/or dollars spent, and membership is free to all Fairmont guests.

Highlights of the scheme include two complimentary upgrade certificates a year for Club members; three free upgrades for Gold members plus a one-time bonus of 2000 frequent flyer points and private reservation line; while Platinum members can claim four free upgrades annually, two nights accommodation on a complimentary basis, and a choice of three free amenity packages a year, such as spa certificates or ski passes.

At the heart of the programme is the Guest Preference Profile, allowing hotels to customise rooms to individual needs. For the first time, travel agents and their customers can access their individual guest profiles online and make instant 'point of contact' changes to request smoking or non-smoking rooms for example, or an option of feather or foam pillows.

Also new at The Fairmont Dubai, the 40,000 sq ft Willow Stream spa has won plaudits for its wealth of facilities, catering to every requirement for healthy leisure.

These include a state-of-the-art gym with Gulf views, 'morning' and 'afternoon' pools located either side of the windtower-design building - giving an option of sun or shade at any time of the day - plus the spa itself, with an extensive range of treatments on offer.

Willow Stream, The Spas at Fairmont, is a new brand being introduced at Fairmont hotels in Canada, Bermuda, Mexico and now Dubai, where the focus is on complete well being, combining proven methodology for relaxation and rejuvenation with the local traditions and cultures of the region.

In Dubai, the Willow Stream complex on the 9th floor of The Fairmont Dubai is divided into two distinct parts, one dedicated to the spa environment and the other forming the health club.

The spacious health club has been outfitted with the latest Techno Gym XTPRO 600 Selection range of award-winning equipment that is both easy to use and delivers the most advanced biomechanics, guaranteeing a maximised workout every time.

Another feature is the first Glidex elliptical cross-training cardiovascular machine in the UAE, plus the only purely upper-body cardio-vascular machine, the Top XT, which can be adapted to allow wheelchair access.

In addition, the hotel boasts two mosaic-tiled swimming pools, each with large Jacuzzi, designed to capture the sun's rays throughout the day, either on the sunrise and sunset terrace. Shaded lounges, a snack bar, the Sol juice bar and the Bacchus casual diner with 'al forno' oven for quick pizzas also form part of the extensive leisure complex.

The dedicated spa environment has a classical design theme throughout, with separate male and female sections, each featuring an opulent Jacuzzi area with Turkish Hammam-inspired steam room and invigorating ice shower as well as two relaxing footbaths. Both areas also have a private relaxation room in which to unwind with refreshing herbal tisanes and fruit-flavoured waters.

To soothe, pamper, de-stress and re-invigorate, the lavish array of spa treatments includes body massage, body wraps, facial treatments and luxury hand and foot care to be enjoyed in the seven dedicated private treatment rooms.

Experienced therapists use the acclaimed Phytomer range of products to achieve the best results, and tailor-made programmes can be designed to satisfy each individual's requirements and physical needs.

And, to add the final touch, there are also two independent hair salons for ladies and gentlemen, as well as a private VIP room.

Willow Stream, The Spa at Fairmont is located on the 9th floor of The Fairmont Dubai and is open daily from 08:00 to 22:00 hrs with the health club open from 06:00 to midnight.
