The sale of the TIAS business has been completed as planned, with an affective date of May 31, 2002. The new name of the business will be TIAS Technology Pty Ltd.
NAQ Technology Limited, the new owner of TIAS, is now working closely with the business to undergo a full and rapid integration of resources, skills and strategy.
'Our first priority will be to move the business to new premises in the city and keep "business as usual" for TIAS' customers. We will then be investigating how best to develop and commercialise the TIAS Integrator desktop booking environment for travel agents', said Mr Richard Eskell, the Managing Director of NAQ Technology.
He further said 'the acquisition of TIAS by NAQ Technology gives TIAS renewed focus and direction after a short period of uncertainty experienced during the sale process'.
The beneficiaries of this sale and the reawakening of TIAS will be the travel community. Over the coming months TIAS will begin to introduce technology which will have a significant impact on removing the inefficiencies of distributing and selling travel. |
