JETBLUE GROWS ITS ALL-AIRBUS FLEET BY ORDERING TWO A320S CONVERTS TWO OPTIONS INTO FIRM ORDERS

New York's JetBlue Airways has converted two more A320 options into firm orders, bringing its total number of A320s on firm order to 76. The two aircraft announced today will be delivered to the airline in December 2002 and May 2003. This is JetBlue's second firm order of the year, following a January 2002 order for 10 A320s. Both newly ordered aircraft will be powered by International Aero Engines' V2500s.

"JetBlue is moving forward with its controlled growth business plan and to date our fleet of A320s has carried more than five million happy customers," said David Neeleman, JetBlue's Chief Executive Officer. "Our Airbus fleet has performed very well, which makes our job - taking our customers where they want to go, comfortably and on time - much easier."

"The fact that JetBlue keeps coming back for more demonstrates that the A320 Family has per-fect aircraft for growth from both cost and comfort perspectives," said Airbus President and Chief Executive Officer Noël Forgeard. "David Neeleman has built his business by keeping his employees and his customers happy and we're happy that Airbus aircraft continue to be an in-tegral part of that practice."

The Airbus A320 Family includes the 107-seat A318, the 124-seat A319, the 150-seat A320 and the 185-seat A321. Each of these two-engine aircraft features the widest fuselage of any single-aisle aircraft in the world, offering passengers more room to relax and crew members more room to maneuver through the cabin. In addition, the A320 Family features the most economical and environmentally responsible aircraft in their class, offering the lowest fuel burn, emissions and noise footprints in their size category.

A leading aircraft manufacturer with the most modern and comprehensive product line on the market, Airbus is a global company with design and manufacturing facilities in France, Ger-many, the UK, and Spain as well as subsidiaries in the United States, China and Japan. Head-quartered in Toulouse, France, Airbus is an EADS joint Company with BAE SYSTEMS.
