InterContinental Hotels and Resorts in the Middle East and Africa announce new Double Business Options Programme for Ramadan

Travel News Asia 23 October 2002

Guests staying at participating InterContinental hotels and resorts in the Middle East and Africa, can now enhance their stay with the Double Business Options or Double Leisure Options during Ramadan, and a special promotion during Eid.

For the duration of the Holy Month, business travellers can choose two of the following value-added amenities:

- Room upgrade to club accommodation or junior suite (subject to availability)

- Free movie and $20 credit for the mini fridge per night

- Leisure voucher for free weekend night at any InterContinental hotel or resort

Leisure travellers can choose two of the following weekend treats:

- Room upgrade to club accommodation or junior suite with chocolates and a beverage of choice on arrival (subject to availability)

- Breakfast for two and a further 20% discount on all food and beverage

- 50% discount on the second room occupied by children under 19

“Research has shown that InterContinental guests want choice and value,” said Denis Johnson, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Middle East and Africa. “For the Ramadan period guest can choose two options, instead of the one option normally available through Business Options. The new Double Options have been designed to give real value to business and leisure travellers.”

Double Business Options are designed to offer extras a business person would normally charge to their expense account, whereas the Double Leisure Options have been designed for those who want to pamper themselves with a relaxing weekend break.

During Eid, guests staying for three consecutive nights at any InterContinental hotel in the Middle East, get a voucher for a free night, which can be redeemed when staying for two weekend nights. The voucher will be valid until September 2003.
