Ismail S.Al-Hassan has been appointed General Manager of the Holiday Inn Bur Dubai, one of the new generation of Holiday Inn properties managed by Six Continents Hotels in the Middle East.
Hassan, who began his 23-year hotel career as a sales director in Saudi Arabia, was previously General Manager of the Holiday Inn Amman, Jordan from its opening in 1998.
With a diploma in tourism and hotel administration from the International Institute of Administration in Paris, his long association with the Holiday Inn brand began in 1980 when he was appointed Sales Director for Holiday Inn Hotels in Jordan.
In 1986 he received his first Holiday Inn general manager’s posting in Oman where he was also District Director, and he has also been general manager of the Holiday Inn Bahrain and the Minhal Holiday Inn Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. Hassan received the Holiday Inn General Manager of the Year Award for the Middle East and Africa in 1998.
The 232-room Holiday Inn Bur Dubai, which opened in September last year, is one of 21 Holiday Inn properties currently under management by Six Continents Hotels in the Middle East. |
