Charles Abbott, former General Manager of The Westin Resort Guam has been named General Manager of The St. Regis Shanghai, China. Mr. Abbott has more than 20 years of luxury hotel industry experience with the Starwood Group, serving in various management positions since 1979.
Mr. Abbott brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having recently served as General Manager of The Westin Guam since 1998. Prior to this position, Abbott was General Manager of various Westin Hotels in Seoul, Kunming, China and senior management positions in Los Angeles, Hawaii, Seattle and Boston. He will be responsible for managing The St. Regis Shanghai on a daily basis and ensure that the hotel's impeccable quality of service and standards are maintained at the highest level.
A native of U.S.A., Mr. Abbott resides in Shanghai with his family.
