Travel News Asia 18 December 2002

Formula Travel Solutions (FTS) Ltd. today announced that it has won a contract from Turismo Thai, one of the major tour operators in Thailand, to provide its PAXYSi software - an integrated, comprehensive, on-line tour operator system.

"PAXYSi will help Turismo Thai to strengthen its position as a leading tour operator in Thailand and to increase its share of the Thai tourism market, which involves 10 million tourists annually," said Nino Jotikasthira, Assistant Managing Director of Turismo Thai. "PAXYSi will enable 200 Turismo Thai's service and operations employees to efficiently use a single unified system, at all company's branches."

"The project at Turismo Thai is a major step in the company's policy to expand its presence in Asia Pacific, in particular in Thailand, Singapore and Australia," said Dror Meytal, Sales Manager of FTS.

PAXYSi comprises all the commercial, operational, and administrative aspects of inbound and outbound tour operations, providing the necessary planning, costing, pricing, accounting and control applications and tools. It includes hotel and flight reservations, rental cars, travel tips, and more.

PAXYSi maintains a comprehensive, flexible database for land and flight service sales, inventories, document printing, accounting and reporting.

Turismo Thai will implement the latest version of PAXYSi, which is fully Internet/Intranet enabled. It comprises innovative monitoring tools, allowing the executives to personally assure the best customer service. Enhanced  interfaces improve user-friendliness and efficiency.

Turismo Thai will also implement XML software solution (PAXML), providing rapid connectivity to external computers and websites, allowing Turismo Thai to distribute its products to unlimited number of marketing channels. PAXML will enable Turismo Thai to transparently use external systems such as Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and airline systems, in real time, allowing direct product delivery (such as flights) to customer's.
