The Dubai Shopping Festival Committee has invited restaurants to participate in a unique "Eat & Win" Raffle for DSF 2003 aimed at helping quality food outlets across Dubai to boost their sales and adding more excitement to the carnival-like atmosphere that will prevail during the 32-day mega shopping cum entertainment extravaganza.
Ms. Laila Suhail, Corporate Alliance Director of DSF 2003 said, "Hotels are one of the major categories of support sponsors, and they provide to Dubai Shopping Festival several innovative promotions. By creating this unique and exciting concept for the first time enriches the eating out experience for the visitor and gives tremendous mileage to the participating restaurant. Yet another innovative and winning initiative designed to generate greater excitement among DSF shoppers and visitors, the "Eat & Win" Raffle will give an obvious benefit to the restaurant - winning more customers".
Customers having a meal at participating restaurants will have the chance to win daily prizes of Dhs. 10,000. Customers spending Dhs. 50 at a participating fast food outlet will receive a coupon that will entitle them to participate in the Raffle while other restaurants and will give away a raffle coupon to customers spending
Dhs. 100.
Restaurants can participate in the Raffle by filling an application form and registering at the DSF office between now and January 15th. Restaurants can register any number of their outlets for the Raffle together with a registration fee of Dhs. 500 per outlet. Participating restaurants will also be required to purchase the raffle coupons from
DSF.
All outlets owned by Key sponsors, patrons and support sponsors will be exempted from the participation fee. However they will have to purchase the coupons for the "Eat & Win" Raffle.
To ensure that the food served to DSF visitors is of high quality and meets international standards of hygiene and safety, teams from the Department of Economic Development will carry out random checks on participating food outlets.
The daily draws for the "Eat & Win" Raffle will be telecast live every night on Dubai TV during DSF. Raffle barrels for the customers will be available in food courts of shopping malls and key DSF locations.
Applications are available at the Department of Economic Development, located at Deira Dubai from the 15th of December. Registration timings are from 4:00 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
