All Nippon Airways (ANA) submitted an application to the Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport to introduce "Visit Japan" special fares, reduced 50% off the usual rate, during the FIFA World Cup 2002 (May 31 - June 30).
"Visit Japan" fares are valid from May 25 until July 5, at \6,300* per sector to all cities in Japan served by ANA and its sister carrier Air Nippon (ANK).
*Includes tax, 50% off the normal rate of \12,600
The "Visit Japan" fare is for overseas residents who have purchased an international air ticket on ANA or any other airline with scheduled international service to Japan. Tickets must be purchased prior to departure with a minimum requirement of two and maximum limit of five sectors. Tickets are not on sale in Japan.
