D.S.Anand appointed Business Development Consultant - Carlton Hotel Singapore

D.S.Anand has been appointed the Business Development Consultant to the newly refurbished Carlton Hotel Singapore.

A veteran in the hotel industry with nearly 3 decades of experience, Mr Anand (or commonly known as D.S among industry partners) will be responsible for creating key opportunities for new areas of businesses and recommending effective business strategies to the International 4-star Business Hotel, a member of Carlton Group of Hotels.

Mr Anand comes in as no stranger to the hospitality trade with his strong media background. An active member of the Singapore Press Club, he has served as a committee member and Vice President for several years. 

Interestingly, he delved into broadcasting too and was the first Asian to be trained by the BBC Television, London as a producer in 1963, with wide experience in producing and compering cultural and social entertainment for the Government and charitable organizations.

A winner of the prestigious International Awards of Tourism "Golden Helm" at Berlin in 1996, Mr Anand has contributed to a large extent his knowledge with the Government towards the promotion of travel and tourism.

A former civil servant with the Ministry of Culture and the Group Director of Sales & Marketing previously with a local hotel chain in Singapore and Indonesia, Mr Anand will no doubt bring Carlton Hotel to great heights in his new role, with his wealth of experience and network.
