Health Resorts and Spas boost EIBTM exhibitor numbers

The EIBTM is seeing a a rise in exhibitor sales from companies operating in the health resort and spa industry. Representatives from a number of key spa sectors will participate at EIBTM, a leading international event for the global meetings and incentives industry, taking place in Barcelona from 30 November to 2 December 2004.

Leading Hotels of the World have now booked a second stand of 46.25msq at EIBTM dedicated to showcasing their spa resorts, in addition to a stand featuring the hotel group facilities.

“Leading Hotels of the World have booked a second stand to solely promote the hotels’ incentive resorts and spas reflecting the significant increase in the number of meeting and incentive group bookings for resorts & spa destinations. Groups have the opportunity to host their meetings at one of our breathtaking locations. With full access to spa and resort facilities, this provides a perfect backdrop for business travellers and partners to meet, socialise and relax,” said Thorston Meier from Leading Group Sales.

Other spa exhibitors featured at EIBTM include Design Hotels, IndeCorp, Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces, Hesperia Hotel Group, Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa, Villa d'Este, Gran Hotel La Florida and Metropole Monte-Carlo.

Further exhibitors showcasing their spa facilities at EIBTM include; Conde Nast Johansens Ltd, Hôtel And Sea Water SPA Centre Ile Rousse, Hotel Balneari Vichy Catalán, Hôtel Cap Est Lagoon Resort & Spa - Relais & Châteaux, Hoteles Elba S.L, Indecorp, The Rose Garden Aprime Resort and Warwick International hotels.

“EIBTM provides us with a strong platform to showcase the Warwick International Hotels Collection and its Spa facilities,” said Mr Thibault Ruffat from Warwick International Hotels.

“The MICE sector is an important business for us, in Barcelona we can present the advantages of the Warwick International Hotels and promote the high quality of our spa facilities available to the incentive and conference market especially in France, Belgium, South Africa and Fiji Islands.”

To reflect this increased interest in spa facilities, visitors and exhibitors to EIBTM will be able to revive themselves at the Relaxation and Wellbeing Spa located on the exhibition floor. The Relaxation and Wellbeing Spa will offer a range of treatments designed specifically for the exhibition environment, including hand and leg massages, vitamin and guarana shot cocktails and herbal teas to refresh and provide energy for the weary.
