Six Senses Spas introduce new signature treatment - The Sensory Spa Journey

Travel News Asia 4 June 2004

Six Senses Spas have created a unique variation of a four-hands massage, performed by two skilled therapists who work in harmony to take clients on a journey through the five senses – and beyond.

It is a journey that begins even before the treatment room, with a luxuriously refreshing foot scrub with mineral-rich salt, enhanced by warm towels and fresh fragrances.

From top to toe takes on a new meaning as the client next receives facial refreshment together with a foot cleansing treatment. Relaxation follows with light pressures on the head, heart and feet.

The centerpiece of the Sensory Spa Journey is skin brushing followed by an aroma body massage, delivered using long, smooth strokes and synchronized with a cleansing facial and stress-relieving scalp massage. This unique sequence of simultaneous treatments encourages the mind to let go of stress and induces natural calming.

The Journey continues long after the two-hour treatment is completed, as clients receive a gift box of Six Senses Sodashi natural products. These include the Six Senses Aromatherapy Burner Blend – a combination of bitter orange, lime and ginger plant essences to refresh and uplift the mind, body and emotions; Six Senses Bath Oil – an enlivening aroma blending rosewood, cardamom and lime plant essences that not only energises, but also nourishes and moisturizes the skin. The bath oil is complimented by a Six Senses Body Oil with the same uplifting ingredients and scents.

The Sensory Spa Journey is offered by all Six Senses Spas located within Soneva Resorts, Evason Hideaways and Evason Resorts. From July 2004 it will also be offered at the new Six Senses Spa at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai, and from later in the year from the Six Senses Spa at The Imperial, New Delhi.
