Michael Learns to Rock sets new date for Laguna Phuket Concert

Travel News Asia 3 September 2004

Danish pop band Michael Learns to Rock has now confirmed they will hold a concert at the Laguna Phuket on 10 October 2004 at 8.30pm, after a postponement of the intended concert in July.

With global record sales in excess of 8 million units since their debut album in 1991, Michael Learns to Rock has wooed many fans with their repertoire of soft pop music. Their latest (sixth) album was launched in February this year, featuring ten ultra-melodic tracks, a dozen hand-crafted, catchy, pop songs.

The trio, comprising singer and keyboard player Jascha Richter, drummer Kåre Wanscher and guitarist Mikkel Lentz, has agreed to donate the proceeds from their concert to worthy causes and charitable organisations in Phuket.

Tickets are priced at 500 Baht, 1000 Baht, 2000 Baht and 4000 Baht and will be available from 13 September at Laguna’s Canal Village Shopping Centre.

The 4000 Baht tickets (with VIP seating in the first two rows) will get guests a pass to an after-show cocktail party at the Dusit Laguna Resort to meet the band.
