Peggy Lau awarded 2004 IMEX Academy Award for Asia

Travel News Asia 29 June 2004

During the recent IMEX Exhibition in Frankfurt, Peggy Lau, the Managing Director of Pacific World - Hong Kong, was awarded the 'IMEX Academy Award' for Personality Asia Pacific 2004. These awards are designed to recognise and pay tribute to those individuals within the meetings and incentives travel industry who have made an exceptional contribution to the industry's growth and development.

When told that Peggy was to receive the award, Mr Jacques Arnoux - Chairman and Founder of Pacific World, recalls a free-spirited 17 year old pretending to be 18, coming for an interview as a temporary tour guide and from that moment on Peggy has dedicated her career to the industry.

Today, Pacific World Ltd. Hong Kong is a regional conglomerate of companies with operations throughout South East Asia and China. First established in Hong Kong in 1972, the Pacific World Network now operates 14 offices in eight countries extending from Beijing to Bali. Founded by Jacques Arnoux, one of Asia's pioneers in Destination Management, Pacific World has become a leader in incentive, meetings and conference management in South East Asia and China.
