AirAsia launches Kuala Lumpur - Jakarta flights

AirAsia has launched direct flights connecting Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta.

AirAsia begun sale of the Kuala Lumpur- Jakarta sector on 2nd June 2004, with special launch fares from RM 99.99 or Rp 209,999 one way (excluding airport taxes and fees). AirAsia's regular low fares for Kuala Lumpur - Jakarta starts from RM 139.99 or Rp 293,999 one way (fares quoted are one way and exclude airport taxes and fees).

Flights leave KL at 13:20 arriving in Jakarta at 14:20 with the return leg leaving Jakarta at 14:50 arriving back in KL at 17:50.

Dato' Pahamin A Rajab, Chairman, AirAsia Berhad commented on the new service, "The response for our direct service between Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta has been astounding. The success of this route would not have been possible, had it not been for the strong support from both the Malaysian and Indonesian governments. Together, we can strive for better connectivity and accessibility for both countries in order to boost trade and promote tourism."
