SRS-WORLDHOTELS appoints new Shanghai team

SRS-WORLDHOTELS has announced the appointments of Mr. David Wang, Director of Development & Sales, China and Mr. Li Peng, Account Manager Membership Services. This follows the establishment of the consortium’s new mainland China office, which officially opened in Shanghai on 6 February 2004.

Mr David Wang, Director of Development & Sales

A Shanghai-native, David Wang was formally marketing manager of Gullivers Travel Associates. He is a graduate of Shanghai Jiaotong University where he majored in Engineering and Hotel Management. David has extensive travel industry experience, including eight years at a management level in both leading travel agencies and five-star hotels in the Shanghai area. David is fluent in Mandarin and English. 

In the role of Director of Development & Sales, China, David will lead the strategic development of SRS-WORLDHOTELS growth in China. Reporting directly to the Vice President Asia/Pacific, David’s role will focus on maintaining close relationships with SRS-WORLDHOTELS’ existing partners on the mainland and securing new China partners for the ever-expanding consortium.

Mr Li Peng, Account Manager Membership Services

Mr Li Peng, a Chinese national, joins SRS-WORLDHOTELS from Switzerland, where he was Assistant Manager of Verimag Real Estate, a prestigious commercial and residential real estate agency in Zurich. Prior to this position, Li Peng had numerous project positions at hotels in Switzerland, China and USA. Li Peng has earned an associate degree at Dalian Foreign Languages University, China, a post-graduate diploma in hotel and tourism management at Florida International University in Switzerland and a BS in international hospitality management at the Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, Switzerland. He speaks fluent Chinese and English, and is competent in German and French. 

In his role as Account Manager Membership Services, Li Peng will maintain close working relationships with China based hotel partners and will be based at the SRS-WORLDHOTELS regional headquarters in Singapore.
