Executive appointments at Six Senses Resorts & Spas

Six Senses Resorts & Spas has made the following executive appointments:

Benjawan Sudhikam - Director of Public Relations & Communication – Evason Thailand. Ben joins Evason Thailand following a two-year tenure with Conrad Bangkok where she was closely involved with the opening and market positioning of that property. She began her career in the hotel business as Public Relations Manager for the Royal Orchid Sheraton, an almost five-year stint that culminated in the role of Director of Loyalty & Partnership Marketing. Prior to that, Ben had become involved in public relations, with Syllable, a leading Public Relations agency in Thailand, following a flight attendant career with Gulf Air, based in Bahrain.

Ben’s role will involve all public relations activities for Evason Resorts & Hideaway and Six Senses Spas in Thailand, plus coordination of the Six Senses Public Relations global representatives efforts focusing on the Evason Thai properties.

Hayden Winch – General Manager, Ana Mandara Villas Dalat. Hayden has been tapped to become the General Manager of Evason Resort’s third property in Vietnam, scheduled to open in October 2005. He was formerly the General Manager of the Lake House – a highly awarded boutique property located in Daylesford, Australia, a destination renowned for its natural mineral springs. He was promoted to this role from that of Operations Manager. The Lake House restaurant also achieved considerable acclaim during his tenure. Hayden held previous positions in all areas of Food and Beverage. Most recently Hayden completed a consultancy role with Vue de monde, an acclaimed Melbourne restaurant recently named as Victoria’s best French ’by the Age Good Food Guide. A trained Sommelier with a love of wine, Hayden was personally awarded the sliver medal in the 2000 Devaux Young Sommelier of the Year Award – a national competition run in association with the famed Champagne House.

Educated in country Victoria, Hayden completed Bendigo Senior Secondary College and earned a bachelor of Graphic Design at Latrobe University, before focusing on the hospitality business.

Pradeep Shinde – Area Human Resources & Training Director – Maldives. Pradeep comes to his new role from the Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai, a location in which he had supported several major openings over the past sixteen years. These included Al Bustan Rotana Dubai, Taj Palace Hotel Dubai, Holiday Inn Downtown Dubai and Shangri-La Hotel Dubai. Pradeep began his hospitality focus in Dubai in 1988 and was awarded Employee of the Year in his first role as Personnel Trainee, an auspicious beginning to his professional career. He has completed a 3-year Hotel Management from De Glion Hotelschool in Switzerland and a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Bombay University, plus several other Diplomas in hotel management and human resources.

Pradeep will head the Human Resources and Host Training function for the multi-award winning Soneva Fushi Resort and Soneva Gili Resort in the Maldives.

Jonathan Paul Snow – Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage, Evason Hua Hin Resort and Evason Hideaway at Hua Hin, Thailand. Paul has taken up this role following two years as Food & Beverage Director/Executive Chef at Hyatt Regency Cheju, South Korea, which Paul assisted in reopening following a full refurbishment prior to the soccer World Cup 2002. This followed a similar tenure as Director Food & Beverage at Hyatt Regency Perth. Paul’s extensive service with Hyatt began in the kitchen and has included postings as Executive Chef to locations that include Auckland, Dubai, Melbourne and Osaka.

In addition to Paul’s extensive background in food and beverage, he has completed several associated management and finance courses, plus training, marketing and communication studies.
