The 11th annual Laguna Phuket Triathlon has confirmed its 2004 race date
as Saturday 20 November.
With the great success of the 10th anniversary race, organisers have decided to
continue with some of the 2003 add-on events which include a 5k and 10k fun
run, team relay division and a triathlon clinic hosted by World Ironman Champion, Scott Molina.
New to this year's event will be a Clysdale (men over 200lbs) and Athena (women
over 150lbs) division and added age-groups including Men's 60-64 and Men's
65+.
The five Laguna Phuket hotels will again offer triathletes and their travel
companions discounted room rates and special incentives for those
staying longer than 3 nights. Travel packages are also being negotiated from
Australia, United States, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Race Director Murphy Reinschreiber, MC Whit Raymond and returning
champions Simon Thomson and Carol Montgomery are just a few of the people
anticipating their return to the 2004 event.
