Grand Hyatt Mumbai Opens

The Grand Hyatt Mumbai, one of the largest lifestyle complexes and Hyatt International's flagship property in South Asia has opened its doors to the public. Centrally located, between South and North Mumbai, the Grand Hyatt Mumbai serves as an ideal destination for accommodation, events, dining, shopping and recreation.

Spread over 10 acres of property, Grand Hyatt Mumbai was created by an international team of designers and consultants. The complex is conceived by internationally renowned architects Lohan Associates, Chicago; Chhadha, Seimbieda and Remedios of Long Beach, California have designed the interiors and the landscaping has been done by SWA Group Sausalito, California; lighting by Integrated Lighting Design, Marina Del Ray CA. and the art by renowned Indian art curator, Rajeev Sethi.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Josef Kufer, General Manager, Grand Hyatt Mumbai, said: "Grand Hyatt Mumbai is not only grand in scale but grand in style, service and attention. We hope to become Mumbai's new landmark, by setting new standards of luxury and service in India's financial and entertainment capital."

The Grand Hyatt Mumbai offers four innovative restaurants: M - Grand Hyatt's signature market style grill restaurant and wine library; Celini - truly Italian home-style cooking; Soma - the palette of Indian food and art; Grand Cafe - French bistro-style cuisine in a casual lively ambience; and The Bar - Mumbai's first vinotheque.

The complex includes 547 luxurious guest rooms and suites; the Grand Club, the hotel's executive floors, which offer exclusive privileges and amenities to guests, and some of the city's most sophisticated and technologically advanced conference and meeting facilities.

Long-term guests can choose to check in at the 147 fully serviced Grand Hyatt Residences, fully serviced apartments with a home-style environment, which come in flexible configurations of studio, one, two and three bedrooms.

The hotel offers over 30,000 square feet / 2,790 square metres of conference and meeting space, amongst the largest and most sophisticated facilities in the city. These include the 12,000 square foot / 1,115 square metre Grand Ballroom, which can be partitioned into three sections, and seven additional meeting rooms and boardrooms. All meeting rooms are equipped with modern audio-visual and high-speed communications connections.
