Dusit Hotels and
Resorts has appointed Mr. Somock Inthavong as General Manager of the D2hotel
Chiang Mai. D2hotel is the new Dusit brand, and the Chiang Mai hotel in
Northern Thailand which is the first property under this new brand is scheduled to open early
2005.
Prior to his new post, Somock was Resort Manager of Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai. A French-Laotian,
Somock graduated from L’Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne in Switzerland with a Diploma in Higher Hotel Studies. He
has extensive international hotel experience including 12 years with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in San
Francisco, Jakarta and Bali, and has also worked with the Pan Pacific Hotel in San Francisco and Shangri-La, and
Sheraton Towers in Singapore.
