British Airways Introduces Year Round Value Fares

British Airways starts 2004 with the introduction of a new airfare scheme known as "Year Round Value Fares".

British Airways Year Round Value Fares feature a wide range of fares according to the booking class and travel season. Passengers can now take advantage of the lowest fares even in peak travel periods. The earlier passengers book their tickets, the higher the chance of enjoying the lowest fares.

In Hong Kong, under the Year Round Value Fares scheme, British Airways offers a variety of fares for return flights between Hong Kong and London in World Traveller and World Traveller Plus for the period from 1 January 2004 to 31 March 2005 for as low as HK$4,900.

British Airways' new airfare scheme offers passengers additional flexibility and transparency enabling them to budget for trips for the entire year ahead by booking budget tickets in advance - something travellers have previously not been able to do.

"Traditionally, passengers have to await short-term offers to enjoy the best deals," said Fernando Suarez, British Airways General Manager, Greater China and the Philippines. "With our Year Round Value Fares, passengers can now book air tickets with the lowest fares at any point throughout the year, even for peak seasons such as Christmas and the next New Year."

"Travellers nowadays love flexibility. This is why British Airways offers such a timely gift for our Hong Kong passengers for this New Year," Fernando Suarez explained.

Beside the special fares, passengers can also enjoy the convenience of electronic ticketing. All tickets under the Year Round Value Fares scheme must be issued on E-tickets and are valid for travel between now and 31 March 2005. Certain terms and conditions apply.
