Macau launches special Ferry Promotion

Macau Government Tourist Office, Shun Tak-China Travel Shipping Management Limited and New World First Ferry Services (Macau) Limited are to jointly launch a special ferry ticket promotional scheme offering free return tickets to lure more Hong Kong travelers to visit Macau and boost the tourism industry and related trade in Macau.

MGTO, the two ferry companies and Macau Foundation today held a press conference to announce the details of the ferry ticket promotional scheme.

The ferry ticket promotional scheme offers various privileges to travelers over the next 3 months. The scheme will be in 2 phases, in phase 1, travelers will be awarded one free return ticket from Macau to Hong Kong with any purchase of one full fare Hong Kong - Macau ferry ticket made in Hong Kong. Passengers should note that the tickets can only be purchased at the ticketing outlets of the ferry company. In phase 2, tickets are incorporated into travel packages to be sold through the travel trade in Macau and Hong Kong from July 21 to August 31 inclusive.

The validity of the free return ticket from Macau to Hong Kong is 3 days from the date of departure of the purchased ticket and the traveling time of the free return ticket is restricted within 07:00 to 17:00 hours inclusive.

Passengers who wish to travel on other a different sailing time may pay a surcharge and the return date and time must be specified at the time of purchase in Hong Kong. The free return ticket is valid for economy class travel only and the embarkation taxes are to be borne by the passenger.
