Specialist Recruitment Services Launched for Resort/Destination Spa Properties

Travel News Asia 15 October 2003

The growth of both specialist day spas and destination spa resorts has led Recruitment & Consulting firm Zenith Hospitality Services to launch a new division that will focus on recruiting specialist spa personnel. This service is specifically aimed at resort/destination spas which are closely related to the companies core client base of hotels, resorts and tourism operators, in Australia New Zealand and the Asia Pacific Rim.

According to a Tourism Queensland report, the spa industry is listed as one of the fastest growth industries in the world, with the number of facilities doubling every four years. The spa industry saw an increase of 87% in the total number of employees in the past two years.

Difficulty in recruiting staff has prompted Zenith Hospitality Services to react to both current client and market demands in proving a specialist service.

The company will now recruit staff for roles such as spa managers, program directors, specialist spa chef's, specialist therapists, and leisure/activities sports based personnel including fitness instructors, marine water-sports and general specialist activities staff.

Glenn Millar, Senior Consultant, Zenith Spa Services, is based in its Brisbane head office and will head up the group's new division, known as Zenith Spa Services.

Glenn is an ex hotel executive who has worked in specialist recruitment for over 12 years. He has had a number of years experience in hotel and resort management and as a management consultant has worked on Resort/Spa projects in Australia, Bali & Sri Lanka. He will be backed up by specialist consultants who have had many years experience in the spa industry at operational levels.
