Thai Airways International
is offering a new service to Royal Orchid Plus members with the new Royal Orchid Plus electronic award ticket.
Mr. Suthep Suebsantiwongse, THAI’s Executive Vice President for
Commercial, said that the airline is marking the 10th anniversary of its Royal
Orchid Plus frequent flyer programme with the new Royal Orchid Plus electronic award ticket. ROP members can exchange their mileage points for
electronic award tickets on domestic flights. They can travel without having to
hold any paper tickets, providing greater convenience and preventing the
possibility of losing or forgetting tickets.
During this introductory period, from today until 31 October 2003,
ROP members can exchange mileage points at a special discount rate on all
domestic flights as follows:
- Economy Class tickets Only 13,000 miles from the normal rate of 15,000 miles
- Business Class tickets Only 17,000 miles from the normal rate of 20,000
miles.
In
addition THAI is offering special rewards for passengers using the airline's
new Royal e-Service, effective until 31 March 2004. This electronic service
comprises Royal e-Booking, Royal e-Ticket and Royal e-Check In, and allows
passengers to choose their flights, date and time of travel, make reservations,
conduct payment transactions, issue tickets, as well as check in by themselves for greater convenience.
Mr.
Suebsantiwongse said that since its launch, the comprehensive Royal e-Service
has proved very popular among passengers because it allows them greater flexibility and convenience, as well as saves time.
To show the airline's
appreciation to passengers for using this new e-service, THAI is offering
special rewards as follows
1. Passengers using Royal e-Booking to make reservations on domestic
routes via THAI's website www.thaiairways.com will receive a discount of 10
percent off normal rates.
2. Passengers using Royal e-Ticket to buy tickets on domestic flights (with the
exception of the THAI sales office at the airport) will receive a discount of 5
percent off normal rates.
3. Passengers using Royal e-Service to buy tickets on domestic flights as well
as using Royal e-Check In will receive a discount of 5 percent off normal rates.
4. Royal Orchid Plus members using Royal e-Check In will receive additional mileage points of 100 miles per flight.
