United and US Airways expand code share flights to Asia

US Airways and United have enhanced their marketing partnership with additional code share flights to Asia.

Through this new phase of code sharing, US Airways customers now have expanded access to 180 new flight segments, including Uniteds service to Tokyo-Narita from Los Angeles, New York-JFK, Chicago OHare, Seattle and San Francisco, as well as San Francisco-Osaka, Japan flights. Additional code share flights to Hong Kong from Uniteds Chicago hub are also now available.

Beginning Aug. 21, the US Airways code will also be placed on United flights between San Francisco and the following cities: Boston (connecting traffic only); Baltimore; Denver; Newark; Orlando, Fla.; Miami; Chicago OHare; San Diego; Seattle and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Also on Aug. 21, United and US Airways initiate code-share service on United Express flights operated by SkyWest Airlines between Los Angeles and Colorado Springs; Oakland, Calif.; Phoenix; Sacramento, and San Jose, Calif., as well as United mainline flights from Los Angeles to Newark, and Philadelphia. Code share service is only available to customers originating or completing travel in Los Angeles.

United Mileage Plus Premier members and US Airways Dividend Miles Preferred members have their elite status recognized when flying on either of the two carriers with the following benefits:

Priority boarding 
Priority check-in lanes 
Priority waitlist
Access to Preferred and Premier priority seat assignments 

United Mileage Plus members and US Airways Dividend Miles members are also able to reserve and redeem award travel on either carrier. To redeem Mileage Plus miles on US Airways flights, customers should call United Reservations. Dividend Miles members redeeming miles on United flights should call the US Airways Dividend Miles Service Center.
