Six Senses Hotels, Resorts & Spas new Executive Appointments

Six Senses Hotels, Resorts & Spas, operator of Soneva Resorts, Evason Resorts and Six Senses Spas, has announced two new executive appointments:

Andrew Gibson – Spa Director, Six Senses Spas

Andrew Gibson joins Six Senses to head the Spa Division. He was previously based in Cyprus where he supervised the design, construction and start-up of a luxury spa - The Aphrodite Hills Spa - a stand-alone facility of 3000m² set in 10000m² of gardens, close to the birth-place of Aphrodite. The spa was at the award winning Aphrodite Hills Resort.

Andrew brings many years of experience to Six Senses Spas, from within the luxury leisure hospitality business. His recent projects have been as diverse as a small spa on a golf course close to St. Tropez, consultancy advice in Spain, a ladies-only spa created specifically for residents of the Sultanate of Oman and many years with an international luxury hotel group developing their leisure strategy.

In addition to developing Six Senses Spas at the group’s core properties, Andrew will spearhead the development of new spas in Dubai, Delhi and various locations in which Six Senses Spas will have association with prestigious properties.

Andrew will be based in Bangkok, with his family. 

Satya S Rao – Group HR & Training Director

Satya Srinivas Rao was recently promoted as the Group HR & Training Director for Six Senses Hotels, Resorts & Spas, based at the Six Senses Head Office in Bangkok.

Prior to this appointment he held the position of Area HR & Training Director for the two luxury award winning Soneva properties in the Maldives – Soneva Fushi and Soneva Gili.

Having started his career as a Hospitality Management Trainee, Satya worked for seven years in resort operations in various positions, before focusing on his true passion - Training & Development. He held the  positions of Corporate Training Manager and later HR Manager for Carin Hotels, India, prior to his assignment with Soneva Resorts.

In his new position he will be focusing on quality recruitment, training & development, service quality standards and performance management. He will help to reinforce the unique Six Senses culture throughout the group.
