Shangri-La launches 'Meeting Advantage'

Travel News Asia 12 June 2003

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has launched Meeting Advantage, to encourage meeting organisers to book conferences and events now whilst enjoying significant savings. The package is available for meetings held up until 31 August, 2003 in 39 of the group's properties throughout Asia Pacific.

Meeting organisers, who book at least 20 rooms, will receive the third consecutive room night free for all delegates when paying Rate Break rates and above. Rate Break provides savings of up to 40%, complimentary breakfast and double air miles with participating airline partners.

Additionally, the hotel will host a complimentary one-hour cocktail reception with dry snacks any time during the meeting period or a daily morning coffee/tea break for the delegates.

Shangri-La's group director of sales and marketing, Carmen Lam, comments: 'We understand the difficult times many event organisers have faced recently and want to demonstrate our support for the meetings industry by formulating this special package. We hope that such an offer will encourage meeting organisers to make their bookings now.'
