FCm Travel Solutions has expanded its Middle Eastern network with the signing of a new partnership agreement with Murjan Travel in Yemen.

With a team of more than 25 people, Murjan Travel works extensively with companies in the Yemeni oil sector, and has serviced clients such as Total E&P (Yemen), Griffin Energy and Imtac (Yemen) since it was established in 1998. It also manages corporate travel for various United Nations businesses, including UNICEF.

Murjan Travel is among the top four travel companies (by market share) in Yemen, and has received multiple industry performance awards from groups such as Yemenia Airways, Emirates, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and Sabre.

FCm Travel Solutions’ General Manager Europe, Mr Brian Donnelly, said the partnership would enable FCm to service corporate clients in a market that was growing and rapidly evolving.

“Yemen has traditionally been dominated by the oil sector. However, its business and economic base is now diversifying, and new foreign companies are entering the market each month,” Mr Donnelly said.

“More and more business opportunities are opening up and Yemen is currently ranked 13th on the World Bank's ‘Ease of Doing Business’ index.

“Demand for corporate travel is increasing in line with the corporate sector growth being experienced here, so we are very pleased to now have a presence in this market.”

As a member of the FCm network, Murjan Travel will offer end-to-end corporate travel and expense management services ranging from reservations, to VIP travel, executive leisure, travel policy compliance, traveller security, and its dedicated Airport Lounge Meet and Assist service.
