The Sukhothai Bangkok hotel is now offering guests a brand new fleet of Mercedes-Benz S320 CDI, managed by a team of specially trained drivers. The new S-class Mercedes Benz vehicles went into service Monday. Eighteen four-door sedans and two mini vans make up the fleet. To ensure the high performance cars achieve optimum service levels, the hotel dispatched its team of 27 full time drivers on special-purpose driving courses operated by Daimler-Chrysler so they are equipped with the necessary skills to handle the cars in all situations. The Sukhothai Bangkok General Manager, George Benney, said the cars contained the latest in driving technology so it was vital the drivers charged with guest’s safety were fully aware of all the vehicle’s handling capabilities and technological components. The entire fleet is equipped with the Map Point Asia GPS tracking system, Garmins Navigator Mapping systems, allowing point-to-point navigation for all journeys and iPod plug and play courtesy of the new Harmon/Kardon system. “All drivers have also been trained by the hotel to be aware of the special people they are serving. Often our limousine transfers are our guest’s first point of contact with the hotel,” Mr Benney said. “This car especially has great leg room in the back as well as in seat massage, perfect for traffic jams in Bangkok, and is friendly to the environment, using new engine technologies.” See other recent news regarding: Hotels, Sukhothai, Mercedes-Benz, Limousine, Bangkok |
