Hawaiian Airlines launches New Fares from Australia to US Mainland

Hawaiian Airlines has introduced a new range of fares for travel from Australia to nine destinations on the US mainland, flying via tropical Hawaii.

The new fares, from A$2117 ex Sydney, including tax, in the low season, follow the airline’s introduction of additional Boeing 767 aircraft, and extra services between Honolulu and the mainland.

“With more seats available between Hawaii and the mainland, there are now more opportunities for Australians to visit the USA,” said Scott Cammell, Sales and Marketing Manager Australia for Hawaiian Airlines.

“We offer a relaxing alternative for travel to America, stopping first in exciting Hawaii, or continuing on one of our connecting flights from Honolulu to the mainland, with a stopover on the way home,” said Mr Cammell. “It’s two American holidays in one trip.”

In addition to the established west coast gateways of Los Angeles and San Francisco, the new Hawaiian fares and flights offer passengers one-stop service from Australia to destinations including Las Vegas, Seattle and San Diego.

And because passengers clear US Customs in Honolulu, arrival into their chosen mainland port is as a domestic passenger, with no further formalities – they simply collect their luggage and walk out of the terminal.

The new fares are available to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, San Diego, San Jose, Sacramento, Seattle, Portland and Phoenix, all via Honolulu.

Travel to Sydney, from where Hawaiian Airlines departs, is with Virgin Blue. Luggage can be checked all the way from the domestic point of embarkation to Honolulu, and a free shuttle service is provided for outbound passengers between the Virgin Blue terminal in Sydney and the international terminal.

Hawaiian Airlines is also a partner in Velocity, Virgin Blue's loyalty programme, enabling members to earn or redeem points on Hawaiian Airlines flights.
