Search ASIA Travel Tips .com 6 December 2005

Thailand-based low cost airline, Nok Air, is to reduce its fuel surcharge. The reduction from THB 300 (excluding VAT) per ticket, to THB 200 (excluding VAT) per ticket, is effective 10 January 2006.

“We have been closely monitoring the movement of aviation fuel prices and have seen them going lower, and to reflect that market situation, and keeping our promise to passengers, we are now reducing our surcharge”, said Patee Sarasin, CEO of Nok Air. “We will continue to monitor the fuel cost situation and make adjustments that reflect the market.” concluded Patee.

Nok Air offers 4 daily flights to Chiang Mai, 3 daily flights to Udon Thani, 4 daily flights to Hat Yai and 2 daily flights to Phuket. The airline also offers daily morning flight and 4 days evening flight on Monday – Thursday to Nakhon Si Thammarat, and two weekly return flights between Chiang Mai and Udon Thani, one on Fridays, and the other on Sundays. Operating Boeing 737-400s, each with a capacity of 150, the Nok Air planes stand out with their dynamic style and colors, as they have the look of a real “Nok” (Thai for bird).
