Central Hotels & Resorts unaffected by Tsunami Waves

Central Hotels & Resorts has reported that its hotels in Phuket, the Central Karon Village  and the Central Waterfront Suite are safe from the devastation caused by the freak Tsunami waves.

Many people were affected as a result of the waves that hit some coastal regions in several countries of Asia, including the Andaman coastal provinces of Phuket, Phangnga, Krabi, Trang, Satun and Ranong located in the southern part of Thailand.

While some very minor tremors were felt in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, the earthquake and the resulting tidal waves did not have any effect on Samui, Hua Hin, Pattaya, Hat Yai in Songkhla province or any other cities and resorts, situated around the Gulf of Siam.

A spokesperson for the hotel group said, "We wish to confirm that the people currently staying in Central Karon Village, Phuket, Central Waterfront Suite, Phuket, the Samui Island, Hua Hin, the city of Pattaya and Hat Yai in Songkhla province are completely safe and were never in any danger at any time during or in the aftermath of the Sumatra earthquake. We also assure that all those arriving to our properties are in no danger. The other properties located in Bangkok and the North of Thailand including Sofitel Central Plaza Bangkok, Central Duangtawan Hotel, Chiang Mai, Central Mae Sot Hill Hotel, Mae Sot are absolutely unaffected."
